How do I use it?

u5 Nano-Pulse is gentle pulsation within a certain range specifically programmed to increase biological activity in a predetermined amount of time. The vibration frequency and magnitude are optimized to achieve results with daily use of 5 minutes per day.

How often should I use my upLift 5?
You will receive the maximum benefit from your upLift 5 by consistently using it every day. The device is programmed to run for a full 5 minutes and will automatically shut off when the session has been completed. You can use your upLift 5 more than one time per day.
Is upLift 5 comfortable to use?
The upLift 5 device was designed and developed by experienced medical and health professionals, engineers, and designers to ensure maximum comfort and results. There is no pain or discomfort associated with using your upLift 5. In fact, some people use it more than twice per day.
Is the device hands-free?
Yes. A gentle bite will hold the device in place for the duration of treatment, which frees your hands to continue your skincare routine, read your book, or watch TV.
Can I share my upLift 5 device with someone else?
To maintain optimal hygiene and eliminate any chance of contamination, we strongly recommend that each user have their own upLift 5 – and strongly discourage any sharing of devices among users, even those who may be related. Sharing your upLift 5 would be like sharing your toothbrush – we believe it is best that you don’t do that, either!
Can I use upLift 5 in the shower?
No. The mouthpiece is waterproof, but the vibration actuator and case are water resistant, not waterproof. It should not be submerged in water or used in the shower.
Charging & Cleaning
How do I charge my upLift 5?
Charge the upLift 5 device either by:
- Placing the device in the included case and attach the charging cable to the bottom of the case and a USB power source, or
- Connecting the USB power source directly to the back of your upLift 5.
How do I clean my upLift 5?
Here’s how to clean each part of the device:
Mouthpiece:
- Rinse the mouthpiece under water and brush with a toothbrush as necessary. The mouthpiece can be detached from the actuator for cleaning and replacement. Turn the mouthpiece one-quarter turn counterclockwise and gently pull to detach. To re-attach, line up and turn one-quarter clockwise.
Actuator and Case:
- Wipe with a damp soft cloth and dry to retain the luster of your upLift 5.
- Remember that the vibration actuator and case are water resistant, not waterproof. They should not be submerged in the water (or used in the shower).
Do I need to replace the mouthpiece?
After 4 months of use, the mouthpiece should be replaced.
Where do I get additional mouthpieces?
New mouthpieces may be purchased here on the upLift 5 website.
Safety Concerns
Should I use upLift 5 if it makes me dizzy?
On rare occasions some people may feel slightly dizzy while using upLift 5. If you become slightly dizzy during usage, it is best to be seated or lying down. If you become very dizzy seated or lying down, discontinue use.
Should I use upLift 5 if I am pregnant?
People who are pregnant should not use the device particularly while standing or moving about.
Can I use upLift 5 if I receive Botox treatments?
Yes. Unlike other beauty devices, upLift 5 does not break down skincare treatments, like Botox or fillers.
Will using my upLift 5 affect my dental work negatively?
upLift 5 was specifically designed to not interfere or negatively affect any permanent dental work such as fillings and implants. If you have any temporary dental work in place, we do recommend consulting with your treating clinician before using the device.
Can I use upLift 5 if I have braces or clear aligners?
Yes. High-frequency low-magnitude vibration devices have been used for many years by people in braces or aligners.
Will my upLift 5 work with dentures?
upLift 5 was specifically designed to not interfere or negatively impact dentures.
Won’t my electric toothbrush have the same effect?
No. Electric toothbrushes do not pulse in the frequency and magnitude range sufficient to create anti-aging growth factors that address the 5 signs of aging.
Troubleshooting
My upLift 5 won’t turn on!
- Initial use: upLift 5 is shipped in “shipping mode” to save battery life during transport. Please plug the USB-C cable into the case and put the upLift 5 in with the “on” button facing up. Let it charge then remove and power on the device.
- Subsequent uses: Please plug the USB-C cable into the case and put the upLift 5 device in with the “on” button facing up. Let it charge then remove and use the device by following the use guide. If the device continues not to work during the warranty period, contact customer service.
I don’t feel the pulsation, what should I do?
- Make sure your upLift 5 is charged;
- Place your upLift 5 in your mouth and press the “on” button;
- Bite down gently with all teeth touching the mouthpiece;
- Slowly adjust the bite until you feel the upLift 5 pulses.
